An app is easier to learn when it speaks your language. Cinematic Recorder is fully available in Bangla, English, Hindi and Arabic, and you can switch whenever you like. This short guide shows how to change app language, what changes when you do, and a few tips for making videos in your own language.
Which languages are available
| Language | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| বাংলা (Bangla) | Left to right | Full app interface |
| English | Left to right | Full app interface |
| हिन्दी (Hindi) | Left to right | Full app interface |
| العربية (Arabic) | Right to left | Layout mirrors for natural reading |
"Full app" means menus, buttons, settings, templates and messages, not just the home screen. See the languages feature for the latest list.
How to change the language inside the app
The language option usually lives in the app's settings:
- Open Cinematic Recorder.
- Go to Settings (often a gear icon or in the menu).
- Tap Language.
- Choose Bangla, English, Hindi or Arabic.
The interface switches to your choice. If some text still shows the old language, close the app fully and open it again.
Using your phone's language settings
On first launch, the app may follow your phone's system language if it is one of the four supported languages. On many phones running Android 13 or newer, you can also set a language for an individual app from the phone's settings, usually under Settings → System → Languages → App languages. Menu names differ by brand. If Cinematic Recorder appears in that list, you can change it there too; otherwise use the in-app setting above.
Google explains per-app languages on its Android help pages.
What changes in Arabic (right-to-left)
Arabic is read from right to left, so the app mirrors its layout: back buttons, lists and many controls move to the opposite side so everything reads naturally. Your recordings are not affected. The screen you record looks exactly as your phone shows it, and the exported video is not flipped.
If you make tutorials for Arabic-speaking viewers, record with your phone set to Arabic too, so viewers see the same screens they'll see on their own phones.
Your app language vs your video's language
The app language only changes Cinematic Recorder's own menus. It does not change:
- The language of the apps you are recording.
- The language you speak in your narration.
- The text inside your exported video.
So you could use the app in English while recording a Bangla tutorial, or the other way round. Choose whatever is most comfortable for you to work in.
Tips for making videos in your own language
- Match the phone to your audience. If your viewers use their phones in Bangla, record with your phone in Bangla so menu names match what they see.
- Mention both names for key buttons. Many people in Bangladesh use their phones in English. Saying "Settings, মানে সেটিংস" helps both groups.
- Use clear, everyday words. Common English tech words like app, setting and record are fine if that's how your viewers talk.
- Plan captions. Captions help viewers who watch without sound. Cinematic Recorder writes captions from your voice; AI translation is still coming soon.
Our guide to making tutorials in Bangla goes deeper, and why captions boost views explains how subtitles help reach more people. If you want to reach viewers in several languages later, see AI captions and translation.
Fonts and readability
Bangla, Hindi and Arabic scripts need good fonts to look clear. The app is designed to display all four languages properly, but on very old phones some characters may look slightly different depending on the system fonts. If text looks broken, updating Android or the phone's system fonts usually helps.
Switching languages for different projects
Some creators make the same tutorial in two languages, for example one Bangla version for local viewers and one English version for an international audience. You can switch the app language between projects without losing anything. Many people find it simplest to keep the app in one language and only change the phone's language while recording, so the recorded menus match each audience.
Teaching family members
If you're setting up the app for a parent or relative, switch it to the language they read most comfortably before handing the phone over. A familiar language removes a big barrier for first-time users. Our guide to teaching parents smartphone basics has more ideas.
Getting started after switching
Once your language is set, the next steps are the same in every language: choose a template, record, edit and export. Follow the getting started guide to make your first video.
